Let’s face it: the Super Bowl is just as much about the commercials as it is about the game itself. The internet is full of “The Best”, “The Worst” and “WTF Commercials” reviews.
The fact is the U.S. television broadcast of the Super Bowl (the championship game of the National Football League) features commercials that will cost upwards of $5 million for 30 seconds. What? $5 million? Yep! Well, no wonder as extremely high viewership and wide demographics is a huge chance for the brand, product or service to shine.
Even though the Super Bowl advertisers tend to design for entertainment over promotion, some of those commercials have become a cultural phenomenon. For us Europeans it does not play such an important role in the world of advertising but we surely can learn something from them.
